<p align="justify">Aflatoxins are the best known group of mycotoxins produced as secondary metabolites by fungi, mainly by Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, but to a smaller extent also by other strains. This origin is also where the name Aspergillus flavus toxin comes from. Aflatoxins can be produced on crops in the field or during storage of agricultural products, especially under warm conditions and high humidity. Unfortunately, these substances can persist long after the fungi have been killed and therewith contaminate foods. Most mycotoxins are stable compounds that are also not destroyed during food processing or cooking.</p>
<p align="justify">Since they can easily enter the marketplace and be a hazard to public health it is important to develop effective analytical methods for the identification and quantification of mycotoxins. Governmental institutions and health protection agencies apply these methods on a large scale to control marketed food products and animal feed. In the food processing industry the same methods are used to check raw materials and products, in order to direct them to countries with an appropriate legislation.</p>

<p align="justify">Carbohydrates, alcohols, and organic acids are important in the manufacture of many foods, pharmaceuticals, and biofuels. This dedicated system is specially designed to separate and analyze these compounds. The heart of this system is the superior AZURA refractive index detector RID 2.1L with an outstanding linear range and sensitivity. More systems components are the column thermostat CT 2.1 and the isocratic AZURA pump P 6.1L for delivery of small flow rates (0.001 -10 ml/min) and pressure up to 700 bar. This price attractive system is developed to run simple and rapid methods that enable simultaneous determination of sugars, organic acids and alcohols. Therefore, an interesting application is the analysis of all major wine compounds (see our application note) for quality control.</p>

<p align="justify">The AZURA Compact HPLC isocratic educational system is a small complete analytical isocratic HPLC system. Due to its compact dimensions, the system fits onto every laboratory bench. The AZURA Compact HPLC isocratic is based on the multifunctional AZURA element ASM 2.1L and contains two integrated modules and a manual injecton valve, that is fixed to the side of the system. The integrated modules are a pump and a UV/VIS detector with one variable wavelength. A flow cell is included in the package. The system comes with an eluent tray for safe storage of up to six bottles. The column can be attached anywhere to the system via magnetic clip. <p align="justify">This system features a AZURA P 6.1L HPG/LPG pump, an Autosampler 6.1L, a column thermostat CT 2.1, a MWD or DAD 2.1L UV/VIS detector with 8-variable UV measuring channels from 190 &#8211; 750 nm, as well as a Tablet PC with AZURA Mobile Control. It is the standard system with a backpressure range of 700 bar. It perfectly fits the demanding needs of a method development system, as well as the robust fitness of a routine analysis machine.</p>
<p align="justify">The P6.1L with a HPG configuration features a solvent selection valve to set up to 4 solvents to the system of which two can be blended simultaneously. The internal degassing unit will prevent air bubbles in the system. Every P 6.1L comes with an attached mixing chamber, which can be changed to a larger volume depending on the applications needs.</p>
<p align="justify">The DAD 2.1L features a novel light path and flow cell architecture with improved handling and excellent performance. The frontal lamp and cell change ensures easy and secure maintenance. The temperature controlled optical bench minimizes signal drift. The wide flow cell selection allows the DAD 2.1L to be easily adapted to your needs.</p>
<p align="justify">The Autosampler 6.1L can inject 0.1 – 5000 µl to have a large flexibility. Using standard vials or two microtiter plates will give you a maximum sample capacity of up to 768 samples or 108 vials.</p>
<p align="justify">The AZURA CT 2.1 is the new price attractive basic column thermostat. It is suitable for column thermostatization above and below room temperature. The instrument operates with a microprocessor controlled Peltier element for exact temperature settings.</p>

<p align="justify">The AZURA® HPLC Compact iso is a small complete analytical isocratic HPLC system. Due to its compact dimensions, the system fits onto every laboratory bench.<br />
The system is based on the multifunctional AZURA® Assistant ASM 2.1L and contains three integrated modules. An AZURA® Detector UVD 2.1S, an AZURA® Pump P 4.1S and a electric injection valve.</p>
<p align="justify">The system comes with an eluent tray for safe storage of up to 6 bottles. A leak sensor and the tubing guidance as well as the Mobile Control unit with touch screen, facilitate the safe and user friendly usage. Modern design with completely demountable fronts turn the system into a visual highlight.</p>
<p align="justify">The column thermostat AZURA® CT 2.1 is suitable for column thermostatization above and below room temperature.<br />
The instrument operates with a microprocessor controlled Peltier element for exact temperature settings.</p>

<p align="justify">This system features a AZURA P 6.1L HPG/LPG pump, an Autosampler 6.1L, a column thermostat CT 2.1, a MWD or DAD 2.1L UV/VIS detector with 8-variable UV measuring channels from 190 &#8211; 750 nm, as well as a Tablet PC with AZURA Mobile Control. It is the standard system with a backpressure range of 700 bar. It perfectly fits the demanding needs of a method development system, as well as the robust fitness of a routine analysis machine.</p>
<p align="justify">The P6.1L with a LPG configuration features a new LPG valve for the most reise blending effciency. The internal degassing unit will prevent air bubbles in the system. Every P 6.1L comes with an attached mixing chamber, which can be changed to a larger volume depending on the applications needs.</p>
<p align="justify">The DAD 2.1L features a novel light path and flow cell architecture with improved handling and excellent performance. The frontal lamp and cell change ensures easy and secure maintenance. The temperature controlled optical bench minimizes signal drift. The wide flow cell selection allows the DAD 2.1L to be easily adapted to your needs.</p>
<p align="justify">The Autosampler 6.1L can inject 0.1 – 5000 µl to have a large flexibility. Using standard vials or two microtiter plates will give you a maximum sample capacity of up to 768 samples or 108 vials.</p>

<p align="justify">This system features a AZURA P 6.1L HPG pump, an Autosampler 6.1L, a column thermostat CT 2.1, a DAD 6.1L UV/VIS detector with 8-variable UV measuring channels from 190 &#8211; 1000 nm, as well as a Tablet PC with AZURA Mobile Control. It is the UHPLC system with a backpressure range of 1000 bar. It perfectly fits the demanding needs of a method development system, as well as the robust fitness of a routine analysis machine.</p>
<p align="justify">The P6.1L with a HPG configuration features a solvent selection valve to set up to 4 solvents to the system of which two can be blended simultaneously. The internal degassing unit will prevent air bubbles in the system. Every P 6.1L comes with an attached mixing chamber, which can be changed to a larger volume depending on the applications needs.</p>
<p align="justify">The DAD 6.1L features a novel light path and flow cell architecture with improved handling and excellent performance. The frontal lamp and cell change ensures easy and secure maintenance. The temperature controlled optical bench minimizes signal drift. The wide flow cell selection allows the DAD 6.1L to be easily adapted to your needs..</p>
<p align="justify">The Autosampler 6.1L can inject 0.1 – 5000 µl to have a large flexibility. Using standard vials or two microtiter plates will give you a maximum sample capacity of up to 768 samples or 108 vials.</p>
<p align="justify">The AZURA CT 2.1 is the new price attractive basic column thermostat. It is suitable for column thermostatization above and below room temperature. The instrument operates with a microprocessor controlled Peltier element for exact temperature settings</p>

<p align="justify">This very compact system is specially designed to separate different natural components, like carbohydrates, alcohols and organic acids. It is optimized for the separation of several hundred mg to gram per day.</p>
<p><strong>System components</strong></p>
<p align="justify">The heart of the system is the superior AZURA refractive index detector RID 2.1L HighFlow with an outstanding linear range and sensitivity. The intelligently designed optical unit with advanced temperature control ensures high sensitivity, fast baseline stabilization, and excellent reproducibility. The wide linear dynamic range and 100 ml/min maximum flow rate make the AZURA RID 2.1L HighFlow the perfect choice for most laboratory tasks and it is an excellent device for semi-preparative purification of sugars using the KNAUER Eurokat columns. The other systems component is the AZURA Assistent ASM 2.1L. This sugar purification assistent combines the functionality of two different devices, a pump and a valve. The isocratic AZURA Pump P 4.1S can work with flow rates up to 50 ml/min and a maximum pressure of 150 bar. The 12 port multi-position valve AWA20BG for fractionation is made of stainless steel and has a maximum flow rate of 500 ml/min. This price attractive system is made in Germany and fulfills the highest quality standards. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Preparative system for general cleanup tasks relying on gel permeation</p>
<p align="justify">Do not waste time and labor with manual sample preparation. The AZURA® GPC Cleanup system automates work-intensive and time-consuming cleanup tasks based on gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Further, reproducibility and quality of the cleanup are improved. After sample loading, the dedicated system fully automatically processes up to 15 samples while requiring minimal bench space. Based on the versatile AZURA® device platform the system can be customized to fulfill individual requirements. The cost-effective software Mobile Control provides a touch-optimized user interface for intuitive device control directly at the system.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>System layout</strong><br />
Based on the versatile AZURA® device platform the GPC Cleanup System can be easily adapted to pre-established laboratory procedures to perform a wide range of sample preparation tasks. The required bench space is kept at a minimum. Scroll down to &#8220;Related Products&#8221; to find alternative system components for customization.<br />
The system features 15 sample loops controlled by two 16 port multiposition valves. The GPC tubing guide sorts outlet tubings coming from the fraction collection valve. The wound-up sample loops are stored in a tray with drainage system and are easily accessible for inspection and replacement. With an additional multiposition valve 15 fractions and waste can be collected. All multiposition valves and the manual injection valve are integrated into a compact AZURA® Assistant ASM 2.1L. Elution of separated substances/standard components is monitored by a variable single wavelength UV detector. A second assistant harbors the small detector, the system pump with a pressure sensor and a valve to bypass the GPC column or select between two columns.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>System control</strong><br />
The GPC Cleanup System is operated with the cost-effective software Mobile Control. This clearly arranged and touch-optimized user interface is run on a tablet directly mounted at the system. It automatically recognizes devices and the system is configured within a few finger swipes. Due to the arrangement in functional blocks like eluent delivery, sample injection, detection, fraction collection, programs are created fast with a minimal number of clicks. <p align="justify"><strong>What is GPC Cleanup?</strong><br />
GPC Cleanup (Gel Permeation Chromatography) is primarily employed for performing general cleanup tasks on a wide range of sample matrices such as foodstuffs, tissues, plants and environmental samples. The separation of components takes place according to their molecular weight due to the heterogeneous pore size of the stationary phase which acts as a molecular sieve. High-molecular substances such as lipids, proteins, natural resins, cellular components and steroids interfering with subsequent analysis e.g. of pesticides are efficiently removed.</p>
